This training day is ideal for therapists holding a professional Indian Head Massage qualification who wish to extend or revive their skills. The routine taught can be used as a treatment in its own right or individual movements can be selected to enhance your current routine to suit each client’s unique needs.
Devised by tutors Lesley Hart and Mary Dalgleish, authors of the book Indian Head Massage – The Essential Guide. Both Mary and Lesley have extensive experience in working with clients in a range of of circumstances, eg. on-site in offices, at exhibitions, at pamper evenings and with people with special needs. Advanced Indian Head Massage was introduced in 2007 with the aim of extending and enhancing treatment experience.
The syllabus includes:
Practical:Specialised techniques of the shoulders, arms, hands, neck and scalp. Effective use of massage tools, optional use of oils, chakra balancing.
Theory:Includes overview of Ayurveda, dosha types, marma points, tips for working in the workplace.
- Prerequisite: Therapists with a qualification in Indian Head Massage
- Registration: Complementary Medical Association (CMA)
- Certificate: An attendance certificate will be issued worth 5 CPD points
