About Us Hands on Training was established in the UK in 1999 by Caroline Bray. Her vision was to build a team of highly trained, experienced therapists and tutors in a wide range of complementary therapies. The marker for all courses was to keep standards high and never lose sight of the important role that complementary therapies play in modern life. Caroline firmly believed that in order for complementary therapies to gain respect from the public, therapists should be trained to a high standard and demonstrate confidence in their abilities. In 2004 Caroline moved to France where she runs courses and has a busy practice. Lesley Hart and Linda Ayers took over as co-principals of Hands on Training in the UK and they continue to keep training standards high.
The popularity of our courses has lead to many requests for training around the world – including the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Bahrain, Kuwait, Dubai Abu Dhabi and South Africa.
Today Hands on Training has a team of nine tutors, each qualified in their specialist fields and holding a professional teaching qualification. They also work as therapists in their own individual practices.
Our tutors are regular speakers at talks and seminars.
Our ethos is to offer excellent in training to small groups in a relaxed friendly environment. Our aim is for our students to gain professional qualifications in the field of complementary therapies and achieve the confidence and expertise necessary to work effectively with clients.
We delight in teaching students around the world to discover the healing power of hands-on therapies and the benefits they bring to many. Many of our qualified therapists offer their skills in spas, holistic health clinics, beauty salons, hospices, hospitals, and on-site in offices.
Some even use their skills on safari in the desert to soothe holiday makers as you can see from this photo!
